Insure your student

Many families this summer will prepare to send a child off to college. Now would be a good time to review your family’s health insurance plan.
Most policies continue to cover dependents between 19 and 25 years, as long as they are enrolled in school full-time.

But if your current policy does not provide coverage for your student, or if the added expense of out-of-network charges are a worry, temporary insurance coverage–some designed specifically for students–may be a solution.

Eligibility requirements vary so do your homework when looking at plans.

For students moving from home, the protection your homeowners policy has provided for his or her possessions and liability exposure most likely won’t go with your student. Renters insurance can help fill this gap.

Your local AAA insurance agent can help you find the plan that’s best for you. Call (800) AAA-CLUB (222-2582) or visit www.AAA.com.

Travel money your way

Today’s travelers want adventurous experiences, eco-friendly accommodations and vacations with a purpose. And they want convenient, safe access to travel funds.

The Visa TravelMoney® card is safer than carrying cash, perfect for traveling to multiple locations with varying currencies. The three-percent exchange service fee is a good value.

The card offers a safe alternative to credit or ATM cards that isn’t connected to your bank or credit accounts. This pre-paid card also helps with budgeting travel funds–no surprise bills at the end of your trip. You also can link up to four Visa TravelMoney® cards to one account. Give cards to family members for easy money management while on vacation.

Visa TravelMoney® cards are available for a low fee and are available at your local AAA office, online at AAA.com/travelmoney or by calling (866) 674-9622.
