Enhancement to vehicle locksmith services among recent changes to your AAA membership benefits

The following changes to the AAA membership benefits went into effect on Nov. 1, 2013.

Vehicle Locksmith Service or reimbursement of locksmith parts and labor were increased for Classic members to up to $60 (previously $50) and for Premier® members to up to $150 (previously $100) for service that is one of your four allowable roadside assistance calls per membership year. AAA Plus® members will continue to be entitled to up to $100 for parts and labor.

Reimbursement for legal fees pertaining to qualifying traffic charges were discontinued. Reimbursement requests must have been made prior to Nov. 1, 2013, and within 90 days from the trial date.

The $5,000 Theft Reward for the vehicles of AAA members has been discontinued. Only eligible reward claims for incidents occurring prior to Nov. 1, 2013, will be accepted.

The Guaranteed Arrest Bond Benefit for qualifying motor vehicle law violations has been discontinued.

Free travel accident insurance will no longer be included with the purchase of eligible airline tickets through AAA Travel for Classic and Plus® members. AAA Premier® members will continue to be entitled to $300,000 in travel accident insurance at no cost with the purchase of regularly scheduled airline tickets through AAA Travel. Insurance coverage is underwritten by the Federal Insurance Company.
