AAA helps you sniff out pet-friendly hotels and more while traveling

More people today than ever are traveling with their pets, so to help those travelers, AAA is releasing its latest PetBook.

The new Traveling with Your Pet: The AAA PetBook, available in May, is a valuable resource for those who enjoy bringing their pets along on vacation. Nearly 15,000 pet-friendly listings across the U.S. and Canada include AAA Approved and Diamond rated hotels, restaurants that allow pets in outside dining areas, and campgrounds.

The hotel listings include fees, permitted pet sizes, and conditions of stay. The book also includes advice on pet-friendly activities, safety, and travel etiquette.

Visit AAA.com/PetBook for details about the photo contest for a chance to have your pet featured on the 2016 cover. The contest opens in May when the latest edition hits the shelves at full-service AAA offices. Retailing for $18.95, the book’s member price is $12.95. A digital version is $9.99 at the iTunes store and other locations.

Prevent auto theft with AAA’s VIN etch

As a theft deterrent, AAA will offer window etching of your vehicle’s VIN (vehicle identification number) this spring and summer.

Law enforcement agencies say that thieves typically avoid cars with VIN etching. The cost for the service is $30 for AAA members and $40 for non-members, including six etchings per car. Some insurance companies, including AAA, offer discounts off their premium for VIN Etching.

Please make appointments at least 48 hours before these dates by calling (800) 222-7623 ext. 6821. Have your VIN number handy when calling.
