In Offices or Online, Seek AAA Travel’s Help

When temperatures start rising after a long winter, Americans begin looking forward to hitting the road on spring and summer vacations. Like clockwork, we start aching to explore new places, to check out the latest rides at the local theme park, to stick our toes in the sand, and to generally get away from it all.

Fortunately, AAA is good at helping members do all of those things.

Your AAA Travel office is a one-stop shop for planning your next great adventure, whether it’s a weekend getaway or an around-the-world cruise. Our knowledgeable travel agents can recommend trips to suit your style and your budget. Indeed, we discovered just how valuable travel agents are in a recent AAA survey that found 85 percent of Americans believe travel agents provide cost-effective, trouble-free, personalized vacation planning.

To help you find your way on the road, you can pick up AAA’s famous maps, TourBook® guides, and other travel materials from our offices. Plus, we have plenty of online planning resources as well, including the TripTik® Travel Planner at that provides door-to-door directions and maps for all of your travel needs.

Also, you can enjoy your favorite time- and money-saving AAA services from your mobile device with the AAA Mobile app. Using AAA Mobile, you can access Roadside Assistance, TripTik guides, member discounts, maps, gas prices, driving directions, and more–all from one integrated app. Another valuable digital tool you can use for travel planning “on the go” is the eTourBook guide. Available for more than 100 top North American destinations, the guides are free to members at Choose from city titles like Orlando, New York, and Las Vegas. They’re usable on the same devices travelers already bring along for the road–tablets and smartphones.

Yet before you hit the road, remember to get a check-up for your car. As a AAA member, you have access to our AAA Approved Auto Repair program, which recommends repair shops that you can trust. You can rest assured that AAA regularly inspects each approved shop and holds each one to the highest standards for repairs and customer service.

For those of you still wondering where to go or what to do for vacation, this issue of AAA Southern Traveler has lots of ideas, from sampling the delicious fare at diners in Arkansas to exploring the outstanding attractions of Galveston, Texas, to saving on theme park admission. Our AAA staff members are ready to help you plan your adventures. Enjoy your summer getting away from it all.
