RULE 25.3B - PROTECTIVE DEVICE DISCOUNT (CO 30 59)

Policies written on dwellings having approved and properly maintained installations of burglar alarms and fire alarms are eligible for the Protective Device Discount.

The discount is calculated by adding the discount percent assigned to each protective device together, then multiplying the base premium by the total discount percent.

The maximum allowable discount is 10%.

DEFINITIONS:

1) Local Alarm means an alarm that produces a sound outside the dwelling.
2) Central Alarm means an alarm that electronically reports to an alarm company or emergency dispatch center.
Proof of installation and activation is required.

Endorsement CO 30 59 - Premises Alarm or Fire Protection System will be attached to the policy.
